It's hard to believe that the summer is over and school is back in session. The boys were definately ready to get things back to normal. We've had a lot of fun as well.
I'm super busy per usual. Wife, Mom, Sister, Primary Counselor, TOFW team member/TOFG Team Captain, and Parent Rep on the PTO. I'm hoping I can find time to craft somewhere in all of that.
Kayla is finally potty trained, it's been a big summer for her. She suprises us every day.
We've had some crazy weather lately too. The days start out hot as usual, then all of a sudden there's a storm cloud and it's lighning, thundering, and raining. We even had one serious storm where it rained and flooded. The kids freaked out. They had never experienced a storm like that. Here's a little video.
The Big Storm
It set several records and also took the life of a local Boy Scout who made the mistake of playing in the drainage canal. He slipped and fell in. It's a sad story and reminds all of us who live in the desert just how dangerous even a little rain can be. We had fun with it though.
We loved our vacations. Brad and Brent traveled to Washington and loved every minute of it. Teegan was spoiled and spent his birthday in Utah at Grandma's and Grandpa's. The rest of us traveled to Utah a few days later. Grandma got sick but we still enjoyed being there, as we always do.
Now we're back to school and the daily grind. I'm hoping to get caught up on everything I couldn't get done because the kids needed my attention.
We are busy, but with everything we have to do we are equally blessed.
